On the Road with the Church

15 Nov

My love for traveling began at an early are. I had always been curious about other places outside of my home state. At the time, I did not have a passport and could not travel overseas. I did not care where I went, I just liked to get out of the house every once in a while. My prayers were answered when my aunt invited my mom and brothers to join her on a trip to Tennessee. The church was taking a bus charter service to Ruby Falls. I was so excited about the trip because I had never been out of my state. I new this would be a big adventure for us.

The trip that we took was for only one day. We would return later that evening. We arrived at the church early one Saturday morning. We waited with for the bus to arrive at our meeting spot. The bus arrived promptly as scheduled. When I first saw it, I was amazed. I was so large, it looked like it could hold one hundred people. When we boarded the bus, we were so surprised by how clean and spacious the bus was. It was like a giant limousine.

The trip was mostly peaceful. We took the highway, which was surprisingly calm. The seats of the bus were very soft and relaxing. I loved watching the highway from the window. We finally arrived five hours later. We ate lunch. We had some of the best friend chicken that I ever ate in life. We had finally made it to Ruby Falls. We saw the beautiful landscapes. The waterfalls were so beautiful we took so many pictures. It was so much fun. The charter bus safely took us back home after the trip. My brother and I had so much fun. I will never forget that memory.
